I got nuts searching which heart-shaped things in nature there could be out there to submit my entry for the contest, until I finally photographed one that really looks a heart!
My entry for the contest "Hearts in Nature" for
Home for Sky and Nature Lovers.
I am from Argentina. These heart-shaped leaves are known with different names in South America as "beating heart, bleeding heart, paleta de pintor, corazón herido" etc; but the scientific name is Caladium Hortulanum.. They are a bit difficult to grow and my grandma has very beautiful specimen of them as well as my mother-in-law's garden from which I photographed these Beating Hearts.
